So tonight at HIT men Pastor Brent had us watch a video and talk about the issue of complaining. What a great reminder it was. So often we can be like Israel was and start complaining about the very blessings we have been given. Instead of trusting God to carry us through, we change over to complaining because how He has provided for us is not good enough. AS people we are so prone to this selfish attitude. Yet God has called us to a different path.
The hard path is for us, Christian Men, we are to trust God when things are hard. Complaining is easy, trusting is difficult. God wants us to follow Him and obey Him regardless of how easy life is or if we like our situation or not. We are to learn the this life is not all about us, it is all about God. So I guess we are talking about setting out eyes, hearts, minds and all we do on Jesus, we are His.
So the next time you are tempted to start complaining, check your heart. Are you acting out of selfish motivation? Are to getting an attitude that would be disrespectful toward God? Maybe this moment is an opportunity to learn how to trust God more. An opportunity to trust God in a fuller and real way. With all of our life, all of our situations.
Let us live as real men, take the hard road of the Faith, it is where we are called to be.
