Reminder to the men

As 2013 draws to a close I want to remind the men of something that is truly critical.  Men keep your priorities in line.  Remember that your relationship with God is essential, it is not based on whether you feel good enough whether you feel you have time, what ever you feel is not to be the basis of your faith.  You are a soldier called to serve the almighty, your life is His to command and you are called into the relationship with Him.  So pursue it no matter how you feel, you are not called to perfection but you are called to obedience.

The second falls in line after the first.  Treat those around you properly.  Guys if you have a lady in your life, if you are married you need to treat your wife as special, pursue her, romance her, make sure she knows that she is the object of your affection here on this planet.  If you are blessed with a wife, then cherish her, regardless of whether she responds the way you want her to, you are called to be her husband in a Godly Biblical way.  Be tender and loving, lead her in your faith, pray for her, serve her, have fun with her.  Again this is not about if you "feel" like it, it is part of the Biblical mandate of being a husband.  If you are not married then you can still practice some of this by treating the ladies that are in your life, your fiance, your girlfriend, your mother, your sister, etc... as special and be tender toward them.  How you treat the ladies in your life that are not your wife will set the pace for how you will treat your wife.  

The third is to remember in all things be of the Highest Integrity.  Be Honest in all your dealings.  Be Transparent with your friends and family.  Be who you are and do not hide behind false masks or fake personas.  Be real and be a man, where you are weak, learn to admit it to those closest to you and ask them to pray with you and walk with you so that you can find strength in Jesus to overcome.  Real men are not to walk alone.
